We serve with Open Door Ministries International in Guatemala City, Guatemala, C.A. Our time is spent working with several orphanages doing community health education, dental care, vocational training for the older orphans, youth evangelism, relief work for orphanage staff, and working with short term missions teams.

Michael is the director of Empowering Kids for God (EKG). He does the planning and orchestration of preparing for teams to join us doing evangelism, work projects, medical/dental care, and in addition he teaches the older students vocational skills to help them in the work force. Kambria is a registered nurse and works in the medical clinics taking care of the children's health needs, does health care teaching and assists Michael with administrative tasks.

In addition to this, God provided us with a free standing portable dental clinic and supplies. Dentists come for short term outreaches and we take them to remote mountain villages where there is no dental care or electricity. It is not just pulling teeth but, better yet, restoring and rebuilding what they have, with world class dental care. Our hearts' desire is that in everything we do, we would be showing and sharing the love of Jesus Christ with His precious children and to see them make the life changing decision of committing their lives to Jesus Christ.
